The unit you see here actually was traded to a friend for an undecorated unit he had. Same loco, but not needing the paint stripped off.

I have actually finished painting the units. My first experience with enamel paints. They went on nice when they were thinned properly! The end results are amazing! I am really happy with the way they turned out.

An excellent line drawing by Michael Eby, of www.trainiax.net , with my own paint scheme on top of that.

Here is what the paint job turned out to look like. You can actually see a fade from the silver down into the blue. I didn't plan that, but the way it looks...is really cool! It is actually overspray where the silver paint has been covered by the blue. The green went on first, followed by the silver. I taped over the green, but I did'nt tape over the unpainted area, so the silver overspray hit that. Then the silver was taped off and the blue painted on. I didn't realize what I'd done until after everything had been untaped. At that point it looked so cool I kept it like that! Both units are the same way, as they were done at the same time.
