Rolling Stock
This set of pages is a look at the rolling stock I have accumulated and built, modified, or reworked. While a train can be nothing more than a locomotive displaying markers, a string of cars behind the power adds more interest.
Nothing New Under The Sun
A lot of people say the rolling stock these days is boring, compared to the way things used to be. I don't think this is the case. Sure, an intermodal train is a stack of boxes on well cars; after you've seen the first fifty there's not a whole lot of variation.
I like to model modern manifest trains. There are so many interesting cars it is hard to say what is better to me. In the photo above, I have a flatcar with a movie prop moving somewhere, a scratchbuilt gondola, and two old-fashioned boxcars destined for rebuilds, followed by another boxcar the size of a building!
Take a look through and see what all these cars are for, and what I have done with each of them!
